We plan to go back to Wasatch Lake

Rated 5.0 out of 5

Every year it is great to bring the team together to create memorable moments and fellowship together. It is important that we take the time to pause, reflect, and have some fun as we all work very hard. Company culture is very important to me and our entire leadership team. This year we plan to go back to Wasatch Lake in rural Indiana for our team building trip. They have a comfortable environment and one that offers time to get away if you like and also a big lodge where we can comfortably come together. We play cards, corn hole, football, sit around a camp fire, pool, ping pong, and much more. This year we hope to integrate some new events in for even more team building and fun. We know everyone’s time is valuable and we want to always make sure we respect that.I look forward to spending time together again this spring.

Beautiful setting

Rated 5.0 out of 5

Beautiful setting, cabins were clean and cozy, well-stocked, lodge was eclectic in style with a full service kitchen for the caterer, and billiards, ping pong, foosball, and many games available. I enjoyed the private setting and Gods beautiful landscape. Fishing, hiking and relaxation. I enjoyed a delicious meal at Cooks Corner one night – Great food at affordable cost. Caretakers at the lake were very attentive to provide the best hospitality and comfort. We had over 20 ladies there for a retreat and it was fantastic! We will be coming back next year.

I highly recommend your property

I want to say thank you for the support we received from the staff at Wasatch Lake. My daughter had her wedding there on November 4th, 2017. We booked the lodge and seven of the cabins for the weekend. We expected with most of the people coming from out of town that there would be a lot of confusion and frustration. There weren’t any problems, and everything went off as planned.Jeff sand Dawn went out of their way to help get the site set up and to help with the take down. One of the delivery trucks could not make it through the front gate and Jeff helped coordinate a plan to get the church pews and tables to the truck on the other side of the road. He went way beyond what I would have expected, and we greatly appreciate it. Jeff seemed to always be available but never in the way. Several of the guest mentioned Jeff by name as the person who directed them to the lodge. The weekend went off better than planned and my daughter was very pleased with her Wasatch Lake wedding. I highly recommend your site for any person or group that wants a peaceful, pleasant, and relaxing location to get away or even have a wedding.

Fabulous Close to Home Getaway!

Rated 5.0 out of 5

My husband and I were looking for a getaway place that we didn’t have to drive a day to get to. We found it at Wasatch Lake. What an incredible place it is! From the minute we drove into the Compound, we knew it was going to be a very peaceful, relaxing experience. Jeff met us at the gate, what a guy! Took us to our cabin, #1 which is in my mind, the absolute best one, except for the owner’s house…..LOL! Told us about the all the amenities, the fishing, the beach, the trails, the Clubhouse. We immediately fell in love! My husband had a wonderful time fishing, and I had a magical time walking the trails. It renewed our spirits and souls. The pigs are so darling, as are the kitties. We saw bald eagles, and so many other beautiful birds. And, me, the novice fisherman, snagged an albino catfish! We also ate at Cook’s Corner Cafe which Jeff and Dawn own in the town of Poland, wonderful and delicious home cooked meals, it was fabulous, and we highly recommend that you have at least one meal there. We are thrilled that we found this home away from home, and are looking forward to coming back soon!

We recently had another perfect weekend at Wasatch! The weather was gorgeous, our cabin was very clean & equipped so we simply had time to relax. We grilled out & enjoyed the lodge for games, plus did a lot of walking. Jeff & Dawn go out of their way in making you feel at home. Looking forward to our next trip in a couple of months!

Wasatch Lake’s Country Retreat was magical

Rated 5.0 out of 5

Wow. Wasatch Lake’s Country Retreat was magical. Our small group of 3 plus two small canines isolated ourselves there for the holidays and could not have given ourselves a better Xmas gift. Each morning over homemade blueberry pancakes or waffles (took our own waffle iron) we admired the lake with its swans, Canadian geese and ducks from our perched chairs in our well-appointed cabin kitchen. Our daily walks were quiet and our daytime naps went undisturbed next to the fabulous fireplace. The retreat was a very welcomed response to our daily grinds and stresses from Chicagoland and Wisconsin. We literally died and went to heaven. All three of us returned home pinching ourselves over the delightful time we had at Wasatch. We have stayed at many cabins and lodges across the USA, but Wasatch ranks up there in the Top 3. Caretakers Eldie and Marsha made our stay extra comfortable and could not have been more hospitable. Simone at the office made every planning detail seamless. We are going back every year.

Definitely a beautiful place

Our firm recently completed our leadership team planning retreat at Wasatch Lake. It couldn’t have gone better. The cabins were excellent, and the camp staff had everything prepared for us since we had a group of 15 people staying at the Camp. The Lodge was a perfect venue to host our Saturday morning leadership meeting. Definitely a beautiful place, and hopefully this will be an annual event for our firm. I’ll add that the fishing was awesome, the cabins were very pristine, and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

All I can say is…wow

We scheduled a staff retreat at the Lake in March and all I can say is…wow! We had such a great time and Jason and Orpha are absolutely wonderful. They accommodated our special requests and really went above and beyond what we expected. We rented all but one cabin, including the lodge, and loved everything! Many of our staff mentioned they will be taking their families there for a nice and relaxing getaway. Personally, I can’t wait to go back to visit again and explore all Wasatch Lake has to offer!

Easter weekend

Rated 5.0 out of 5

My husband purchased each of our adult children a weekend cabin for Easter. A small hiccup that could have been disastrous occurred but very thankful for the folks at Wasatch Lake to make it all work. There was 20 of us and we all had a great relaxing weekend. We fished, mushroom hunted, walked trails, made several trip to visit the piglets. Our Easter Egg hunt was a success down at Cabin nines yard!! Thanks so much for all you done.

We all had a great time

Rated 5.0 out of 5

My husband and I were so pleased with our wedding at Wasatch in April 2012, we knew that our next major life event would be held there as well. We held my retirement party at the Lodge House at Wasatch in October of 2013. This was my gift to all of my friends and family for supporting me through 23 years of military service including two deployments. We hosted a casual cookout for about 65 people. Wasatch provided the grill which made setting up very easy. We utilized the kitchen, buffet bar and seating at the lodge. Many of our guests were from the local area and were not aware that Wasatch has so much to offer. They commented on how they would like to use it for their next event. Our guest were very comfortable and loved the lodge house decor. We all had a great time, including the children who loved exploring inside and outside. The staff was friendly and very helpful from start to finish. I wouldn’t think of having my next event anywhere else.

We would definitely recommend

The Vine and Branches Sunday School from Plainfield, IN have had a class outing in the lodge at Wasatch Lake for the past two years. One year we had a cook out, this year we had it catered, both were enjoyed by all. The class members spent the afternoon playing games in the lodge, walking around the lake, and just enjoying the quiet time together. We would definitely recommend an afternoon by the lake at Wasatch.

Our family travels to Wasatch Lake each summer. It’s important to us to form lasting memories full of good times with family and friends. Our 7 year old daughter Ellie just started back to school this month, and shared this story with her classmates. It looks like our trips to Wasatch Lake are making the right impression. Thanks so much for the wonderful times!

A great time at the Lake

The Forest Alliance team had a great time at the Lake. The loft was a great space for our planning session and we made great use of the kitchen. Joel was terrific and we helped him put the furniture back in place. We also hiked around the lake and identified some trees. We were very grateful for your hospitality.

Peaceful Retreat

Rated 5.0 out of 5

I wanted to enjoy a cabin directly on a lake close to my home in central Indiana–one that provided human powered boats (canoe, kayak, pedalboat, rowboat), walking paths, birdsong–a peaceful setting free from crowds and motor noise. I also didn’t want the cost to break my bank. Wasatch Lake Resort was very much what I hoped for. Our cabin (a two bedroom) had recently been renovated and was very pleasant and well appointed. We stayed in Peach Blossom, a two bedroom that is a little bit removed from cabins 1 through 4, but close enough to everything we wanted to make use of. Three of my friends came down from our town (23 miles away) one day to play bridge on my deck overlooking the lake and were so charmed, one of them plans to come with her husband to birdwatch, boat, and swim in the fall. Another of my friends has been coming for a week for at least 10 years. I will certainly be back too, probably this year. I knew that grocery stores and restaurants were at least 13 miles away (except for a Dollar General about 6 miles down the road), so I brought all foods, condiments, and spices I needed with me. The cabin has a fully furnished kitchen (dishes, silverware, pots and pans, coffee maker, microwaves, stove and fridge) as well as outdoor grill, table and chairs, and picnic bench. We had some very pleasant weather, but for the hot and humid days, the air conditioner was very comforting, and evening on the lake was a delight. We liked the caretakers, too, who were friendly and very helpful. The lake is a 50 acre private one, surrounded by woods and walking paths. Our cabin was close to the lodge, which has room for larger gatherings, a card table, ping pong, a pool table and and other simply games, as well as wi-fi access. It’s possible you will have no reception for your phone and the cabins have no landlines. Oh yes, there’s TV in the cabin with excellent reception to lots of channels and a DVD player if you want to bring your own favorites. Thanks, Cynthia
