Adventures

Explorers, we have two challenges for you!

Tree Faces: There are 15 faces strategically placed throughout all 12+ miles of hiking trails around Wasatch Lake. All faces are no more than 20 feet off trail and can be located on any of the trails marked on each cabin’s map. Take the maps with you on your hike and mark on them as needed! 

Find 5 faces on the trails and receive a Wasatch lake T-shirt!

Find 10 faces on the trail and receive a Wasatch Lake Hat to go with the T-shirt! Find all 15 faces and receive a 25% discount on your next Wasatch Lake reservation! Happy hunting!

  • Any and all prizes must be accompanied by a photo!

  • Stay will be valid November 1 of that year through March 31 of the following year.

  • We must be able to see your post tagged to our social media to enter.

  • Drawings will be every August and will reset after each drawing period.

The Hunt for Wasasquatch: Find the Wasasquach lurking not far from one of our many trails. Take a selfie, find a team member, and redeem a rare Wasasquatch T-Shirt from our Wasatch merchandise shop.

FISHING

Fishing is a true joy at Wasatch Lake.  You will find Blue Gill, Red Ears, Large Mouth Bass, and Catfish.  All Bass are catch and release – 12” or larger.  Daily limit of 4 blue gill per fisherman per day and one catfish per fisherman per day. Try your hand at catching “Big Moe” and make sure to snap a photo! No fishing license required. You will need to provide your own fishing gear and bait.

WATER ACTIVITIES

All water activities at Wasatch Lake are at YOUR own risk including but not limited to: swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, etc. THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. It is recommended that children under the age of 12 wear Life Jackets in and around the water at all times.  It is also recommended that Flotation Devices be employed by all persons (adults and children) during any water activities.We encourage you to use your own safety flotations devices.  If you do not have one, flotations devices can be found at the swimming beach shed, and the woodshed between Cabins 8 and 9.  If you need assistance, please ask Wasatch caretakers, they will provide them! Each cabin is supplied with a dock and a row boat. Electric Trolling motors are allowed but not provided. Canoes and Kayaks are first come first serve at our beach. Wanting to venture out? There’s boating and fishing nearby at Cagle’s Mill Lake in Leiber State Recreational Park as well!

HIKING & BIKING

Hiking is a wonderful pleasure at Wasatch Lake.  Over 12 miles of hiking trails are available for your enjoyment.  All trails loop and connect to one another making it easy to navigate.  As an additional incentive to enjoy the hike, get out there and take the “Find the Faces” Challenge. Fifteen tree faces have been strategically placed throughout the marked trails, can you find the faces? Find the faces, win some prizes!

TENNIS

Enjoy playing a couple matches of tennis over in our south meadow. It’s also a great place for a Family Picnic!

PICKLEBALL

Our tennis court is also marked for pickleball, America’s fastest growing sport! Paddles and pickleballs for up to 8 players can be found in the maintenance barn. Ask a Wasatch teammate for assistance.

LONGHOUSE LODGE

The Lodge is open for guest use from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM unless the Lodge is booked for a private event. The Longhouse Lodge offers an array of activities such as horseshoe pits, billiards, foosball, ping pong, and an assortment of board games.  Come relax with a good book in one of our high back chairs over looking the lake. WiFi available!

BIRD WATCHING

We have documented many different birds that come through Wasatch Lake over the seasons. Grab your binoculars and come see for yourself!

IN THE WINTER TIME

Enjoy winter walks, cross country skiing, sledding, tobogganing, ice skating, ice fishing, build your own snowman, or just curl up in front of a cozy fire with a good book!
